Introduction
The week’s paper assignment is based on Chapter 3 of the textbook. Research examines 43 aspects of job satisfaction and 37 factors directly related to employee engagement. Among the topics explored are career development, relationships with management, compensation and benefits, work environment, engagement opinions, engagement behaviors, and conditions for engagement. The following is excerpt was obtained 10/29/16 via the Society for Human Resource Management website in reference to the publication “2016 Employee Job Satisfaction and Engagement: Revitalizing a Changing Workforce.”
Key findings from the report include the following results:
88% of U.S. employees reported overall satisfaction with their current job, marking the highest level of satisfaction over the last decade.
Based on a five-point scale, with 1 representing the least engaged and 5 representing the most engaged, U.S. employees were found to be moderately engaged (3.8); slightly higher than last year’s engagement index of 3.7.
2016’s leading job satisfaction contributors include respectful treatment of all employees at all levels, compensation/pay, benefits and job security.

How does your attitude affect your job satisfaction?
How does the attitude of your peers affect your job satisfaction?
How does the attitude of your superiors affect your job satisfaction?
Explain why you think attitude has this impact on job satisfaction.
Provide a practical application (relate your answer to your real-world situation), including examples from the workplace dealing with the topic at hand. What actions were taken to improve behavior and attitudes?
Support your response with citations from the textbook and a minimum of two scholarly sources. It is advisable to use the Tiffin University Library for accessing scholarly sources.
All writing assignments are to be in accordance with APA standards for writing. Reference to an article or a text must be properly cited in the text and listed on a reference page.
