I’m doing my internship at Al-AQSA community Clinic (https://www.al-aqsaclinic.org/default.html) and need to write 6 pages reflection paper and make 10 slides presentation.
GUIDELINES FOR REFLECTION PAPER:
The following guidelines will be strictly enforced.
The Reflection Paper should be a minimum of 6 pages (not including the title page, reference page or Appendices), typed and double-spaced, with Times New Roman text, 1â€ margins, and 12 point font.
The paper must address the topics below, and use â€œheadingsâ€ to divide each reflection topic within your paper.
The intern will document the activities and projects experienced during the internship. The format of the paper is somewhat flexible and will depend on the type of activities, projects, and experiences that the student was exposed to during the semester. But in general, it should include the following
- Title page
- Executive summary. A 1/2 to 1 page brief of the paper. (i.e. Companyâ€™s Strengths & Weaknesses; Learning Objectives; Challenges & Resolutions; etc):
- Experience section. This section will address the four major components of the internship:
o The Management and Structure of the organization and the studentâ€™s exposure to it;
o The Technical Aspects (systems) of the area(s) where the student spent time;
o The Projects that were undertaken by the student, including the outcomes and results of the efforts;
o The organizational culture of the organization and the studentâ€™s reaction to the organization and to the experience of working regularly in that culture.
Issues section. In this section the student should identify an issue that was experienced and how the issue was overcome.
Conclusions the studentâ€™s reflection on the experience and future plans in the industry.
References. Sources from the studentâ€™s academic work should be cited. The sources cited in the paper should be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper. Use the in- text citation method and follow the reference style guidelines from the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Edition).
Appendices: Not required but feel free to include supporting material such as computer printouts, data, models, charts etc. or e-printed articles or web site information regarding your internship organization that are the most informative and relevant and which you think the class should have to be best informed on your internship.
The presentation will be based off the objectives found in our Final Reflection
Paper. The presentation will be created in 10 PowerPoint slides not including your title or reference slide. Your presentation should be no longer than 10-12 minutes. Be prepared for questions following your presentation.
Your presentations will be graded based on the following:
- Organization of Presentation
- Is presentation based off of reflection paper topics
- Content & Experience (Understanding of internship and relation to HCM curriculum)
- Mechanics & Timeliness (Are there grammatical errors, was PPT uploaded on time, was presentation 10-12 minutes in length)
- Eye Contact & Articulation
