Read the Leader in Action, “Doug Scott, Truck Group Marketing Manager at Ford Motor Company” on p. 258 of your textbook. Then, respond to the following:
Which influence tactics can you infer that Doug Scott uses in his leadership role?
What career lessons might be taken away from this story about Scott?

You completed one Leadership Learning Journal in Module 3. You will complete the second Journal in this assignment. As before, write an analytical paper based on the self-assessments completed in Modules 4 to 7. Keep the following in mind when writing the paper:
Integrate the reading, reflection, discussion, and writing for the module.
Analyze what you have learned about yourself as a leader and how you can apply the learning in your workplace now and in the future.
Relate the course content to your work experience.
Apply critical thought and integrate learning from the various self-assessments. Do not write a chapter-by-chapter summary.
The paper should be about one to two pages and must adhere to APA formatting requirements. In-text citation and a reference page are required. Make sure to proofread carefully. Grammar and spelling errors will impact the grading. Include a reference to the text on your summary as you are relating your learning to the material read.
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors. When you are ready to submit your work, click “Submit Assignment” in the upper right corner. Click on “Browse,” browse your computer, and select your file. Click “Open” and verify the correct file name has appeared next to the Browse button. Enter your comments, if any, in the Comments area. Click on “Submit Assignment.”

In Module 8, our final module, you will be creating a narrated presentation for the board and stakeholders in your process improvement plan. You will also be putting together your final presentation. Here is your opportunity, before we enter our final week, to ask any questions related to the final project submission and presentation. Do not wait until next week to ask questions as it will mostly likely be too late.
Your initial post should include:
Your progress on the project thus far. Have you already compiled it?
Anything interesting you learned about the organization you chose.
The most difficult component of this project. What made it challenging? How did you address this challenge?
When responding to your peers:
Choose someone who found a component that was difficult which was different than your own, and evaluate their strategy of how they dealt with it.
Improve upon their strategy and provide feedback.
Consider how you could have applied that strategy or parts of that strategy to your own challenges.
Things to Remember!
Post a 2 to 4 paragraph discussion post (300 words minimum). Justify your explanations by including in-text citations and references in APA format as applicable.
Post your primary response on the discussion board by Thursday at 11:59 pm ET. Be sure to review your writing for grammar and spelling before posting. Read any postings already provided by your instructor or fellow students.
Read and respond to at least two of your classmates. Remember to read the feedback to your own major postings and reply to it throughout the module.
