- Review the Harbor City Behavioral Health Center media, paying particular attention to the human resources information provided in the media. Specifically review the following:
- Consider the center’s human resources needs, and ways to approach needs assessment, training design and development, implementation, and evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Review this week’s learning resources related to human resources and workforce development. In particular consider the following readings from the current week :
- Chapters 3 and 8 of your course text, Shortell and Kaluzny’s health care management: Organization design and behavior
- The article, “Research summary: The effect of whole team training in evidence-based interventions on the knowledge, well-being and morale of inpatient mental health workersâ€
The Assignment
Compose a 2-4 page paper that addresses the following:
- Based on the provided HR Information on the center and your review of this week’s learning resources, what steps would you take to conduct a needs analysis for designing and executing a training program to address the center’s identified issues?
- How would you evaluate the effectiveness of the training program once it is implemented?
- Also include a one paragraph job description for the Training & Development Coordinator position that is currently open.
