• Review the Harbor City Behavioral Health Center media found in this week’s learning resources. Specifically review the following:
  • HCBHC Brochure with mission statement, goals, and services.
  • Organizational Chart with major departments: HR, Operations (including IT), Comptroller, Legal (including Regulatory), and Clinics, as well as department overviews covering functions and roles.
  • HCBHC Corporate Policy Document with mission statement and organizational vision in context.
  • HCBHC Annual Report with findings/recommendations and associated assessment data.
  • Corporate Memo on the community need for additional services to support the aging population and the alarming increase in adolescent substance abuse.
• Pay particular attention to the HCBHC’s mission, vision, and services, as well as their assessment data and goals.
• Consider what areas might need to be targeted for improvement and what trends might impact strategic plans.
• Carefully consider this Week’s learning resources and apply your learning to HCBHC’s mission, vision, services, and strategic plans.
• Specifically consider readings from the current and preceding weeks:
  • Review Chapters 3 and 9 from the textbook, Burns, L. R., Bradley, E. H., & Weiner, B. J. (2020). Shortell and Kaluzny’s health care management: Organization design and behavior (7th ed.). Cengage.
  • Review the following found on the CDC site: Healthy aging.Links to an external site.

Compose a 2- to 4-page Organizational Assessment on the following:

• Provided the media on HCBHC, especially the Annual Report with findings/recommendations, explain what areas you determined to target for improvement and provide support for their selection. Also include, what area(s) in the summary report you would like to have more information on and why?
• Given the HCBHC Corporate Memo concerning additional community needs for services, assess how these trends may have bearing on the organization’s future.
• In your Organizational Assessment, also touch on any one assessment issue tied to meeting regulatory requirements.
